I can help you get there.
I am a therapist who listens with compassion and without judgment. I help you find your own solutions for moving forward.
I do not offer advice or tell you what to do. I help you work out the answers and provide you with the tools you need to succeed.
In my therapy room, or online, you are the expert in your life. I help you use that expertise to unlock your potential.

- To find something that will make each day better, to add a little bit of joy and excitement to your life.
- To start to conquer a fear or habit, to break free from the things that are holding you back and live your life to the fullest.
- To enjoy each new day, to savour the simple moments and appreciate all that you have.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on helping you to achieve your desired outcomes. During SFBT sessions, Lisa works with you to identify your desired outcomes, develop a plan to achieve those outcomes and build on your strengths and resources.
SFBT is based on the belief that you are already capable of solving your own problems and Lisa’s role is to help you identify and mobilise your own resources. SFBT can be helpful for a variety of issues, including anxiety and depression, relationship problems, stress management, pain management, parenting challenges, career issues, and life transitions.
Integrative Counselling
Counselling is a type of talking therapy that can help you cope with a variety of issues, including mental health conditions, physical health conditions, difficult life events, and difficult emotions. This is due to helping you to gain a better understanding of your feelings and thoughts. As a result, it helps you to develop coping skills, make positive changes in your life, resolve conflict, improve your relationships, increase your self-awareness, and boost your confidence and self-esteem.
Counselling is a confidential and supportive process. Lisa will listen to you without judgment and help you to explore your problems at your own pace. She will not tell you what to do but may make suggestions to help you find your own solutions. Lisa ‘s integrative approach combines Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Attachment Therapy.
Muss Rewind Therapy
Muss Rewind Therapy (MRT) is a brief psychological intervention that has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of trauma-related symptoms, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). MRT is based on the idea that trauma is stored in the memory in a way that can be easily triggered, leading to distressing symptoms.
MRT has been shown to be effective in reducing a variety of trauma-related symptoms, including flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, and depression. It has also been shown to improve sleep quality, self-esteem, and overall quality of life.
MRT uses guided imagery to help you visualise the trauma by imagining watching it on a cinema screen but also changing the ending. It can be conducted in one to three sessions within an assumption that Lisa and you have already formed a therapeutic and trusting relationship in earlier sessions. Lisa wants to ensure you feel safe and trust that you will leave the session feeling no worse than when you arrived and therefore a full explanation is given before the intervention, which only lasts a few minutes, begins. Further information can be found at the link above.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a state of focused attention and low emotional arousal where one’s critical faculties are lowered. Or a deep mental relaxation, a collaboration with the client and direct or indirect suggestion.
Hypnosis can be experienced as a trance like state which is an everyday occurrence. Its like when you reflect on a car journey and realise you can’t remember parts of it. Or like at school when you are gazing out of the window. But if a tractor pulls in front of your car or the teacher calls your name you are instantly back in the moment. You are always in control.
Lisa offers indirect trance where she helps you imagine a favoured day off or past time, for example watching a sunrise or floating in a boat on a calm lake. This part of the session allows you time to process your thoughts which might be about the talking part of the session or wherever your mind takes you.
Lisa’s clients have been known to describe it as extremely relaxing experience. No mention of your issue is mentioned in the trance. Hypnotherapy can be helpful for anxiety, low mood, pain, and creating a calmer mind.
